Spanish language courses for older people delivered by trained young people 16-18 in partnership with a local school
Our Spanish Exchange is a unique intergenerational conversation project that makes language learning fun and social. Young volunteers (aged 16-17) from the London Academy of Excellence Tottenham (LAET) lead interactive Spanish sessions for older community members in a relaxed group setting.
Each volunteer gets the chance to research and present on topics chosen by the group—ranging from introductions and hobbies to food and travel. It’s a fantastic way to build confidence, learn together, and connect across generations
