Generation Meet Share Exchange

Generation Meet Share Exchange is an intergenerational food project based in the community pub the Antwerp Arms in Tottenham, Haringey, North London where young and old prepare, cook and share food together.  The project enables older people and young people to get together in a relaxed and supportive environment to help, support and to learn and share skills with each other. 

Currently we support a vibrant weekly group of 30 young people and older people who play games – chess, Uno, draughts, Connect 4, bingo; get involved with crafting and cooking activities, including preparing a wide range of healthy food including Mexican, Indian, Japanese, Caribbean, Italian and French food, with a massive Christmas meal at Christmas.  Everyone interacts and plays a role, prepping food, supporting the young people, culminating in an end-of-term celebration shared with teachers and parents/carers of the students who attend.
